ADDENDUM <br />Police Department Secretaries <br />ARTICLE 1- HOURS OF WORK <br />Police Department Secretaries shall be paid at time and one half (1/2) times the employees <br />straight rate of pay for all hours worked in addition to regular holiday pay in accordance with <br />Article 16. <br />ARTICLE 2- LEAVE OF ABSENCE <br />INJURY ON DUTY: Secretaries working within the Division of Police while actually performing <br />Matrons duties who are temporarily incapacitated from a sudden and accidental injury to the <br />degree that the employee can not perform secretarial duties, said injured Secretary, shall be <br />eligible to use up to one hundred twenty (120) hours (15 working days) of sick leave at the <br />discretion of the Safety Director without such sick leave use affecting the individuals <br />accumulated sick leave credit nor the employees attendance bonus days. To be eligible, the <br />injury must be a direct result of work performed as a Matron and shall not be a result of <br />slipping, tripping, falling, lifting, or other injuries that may occur while performing duties other <br />than Matron duties. <br />ARTICLE 3- MATRON DUTIES <br />Police Secretaries assigned to the Police Department who are called-in to perform Matron <br />duties shall not be required to perform any other duties for the duration of the call-in and shall <br />be paid $350.00 annually for performing Matron duties. The City agrees to at least eight <br />(8) hours of training on proper search and defense procedures each year, The City <br />agrees to provide safe working conditions for all Police Secretaries performing Matron <br />duties. Additionally, the City agrees to provide in-house training and education with <br />respect to Matron duties.
