Speeifieations <br />owner be given 30 days advance notice of cancellation, non-renewal or material chailge in <br />coverage. <br />ISO COMPLIANCE <br />The manufacturer shall operate a Quality Management Svstem under the requirements of ISO <br />9001. These standards sponsored by the "International Organization for Standardization <br />(ISO)" specify the quality systems that shall be established by the manufacturer for design, <br />manufacture, installation and service. A copy of the certificate of compliance shall be <br />included with the bid. <br />SOLE SOURCE MANUFACTURER ANI} VN7 ARRANTY" <br />Bids shall only be accepted from a singIe source apparatus manufacturer. The definition of <br />sinale source is a manufacturer that desimis and manufactures all their products using an <br />inteErated approach, including th: entire chassis, cab, body and pump compartment and sha11 <br />be completely built in one location and -,varranted by the end product company delivering the <br />app aratus. <br />An?? split Nvarranty, servicing, liability and engineering responsibility sha11 be rejected. No <br />second or third party apparatus or chassis will be considered. MANDA'I'ORY <br />MAIN'£ENANCE REQUIREMENT <br />APPROVAL URAWING <br />A drawing of the proposed apparatus shall be provided for approval before construction <br />beains. The sales representative shall also have a copy of the saine drawing. The finalized <br />and approved drawin? shalI become part of the contract documents. This drawin? shall <br />indicate the chassis make and model, location of the Iights, siren, horns, compartments; major <br />components, etc. <br />A°revised" approval drawing of the apparatus shall be prepared and subinitted by ihe <br />manufacturer to the purchaser showing any chanaes inade to the approval drawing. <br />«- ARRANTY <br />Each piece of new fire or rescue apparatus shall be wa1-rasited to be free from defects in <br />materials or workmanship under normal use and service. Each manufacturer shall supply, as <br />a pait of their bid package, a copy of the warranty or wananties that they propose to provide, <br />and in no case shall it be less than one (1) year on the entire apparatus. <br />All other wananties, as outlined in these specifications shall be provided in writing as a pairt <br />of the bid packaQe. Failtue to provide the warranties as outlined throutrhout these <br />specifications shall be cause for rejection of the bid package. <br />*APPARATUS TRADE-IN <br />Proposals shall include a trade-in bid for a 1981 American LaFrance Century pumper <br />cunently in service equipped as follows: 1500 GPM Twin flow puznp, 500 gallon tank, steel <br />body, 6V-92 Detroit Diesel, HT-740 Allison transmission, Approximately 3580 hours and <br />23.300 road miles. <br />Page 9 <br />Biddet- <br />Complies <br />I'es f No
