<br />Specifications Bidder <br />comp,;es <br /> Yes Na <br />tenninal connections shall be encapsulated with semi-permanent rubberized compound. <br />3UMPER STUDS <br />One (1) set of battery jumper studs with plastic color coded covers shall be installed on the <br />front side of battery box on drivers side. This shall allow enough room for easy jumper cable <br />access. A tag shall be provided for positive/negative terminals. <br />BATTERY CHARGER/ AIR COMPRESSOR <br />A Kussmaul Pump Plus 1000 single output battery, charger/air compressor system with <br />internal battery saver sha11 be provided. A display bar graph indicating the state of charge <br />shall be mounted on the driver side seat riser. <br />The battery saver circuit shall be capable of supplying up to three (3) amps for- extenlal loads <br />such as handlight or auxiliary radio batteries. <br />The12-volt air compressor shall be instailed to maintain the air system pressure when the <br />vehicle is not in use. A selector switch shall be provided on the charger to operate the air <br />compressor either as a DC compressor or as an AC compressor. If the selector switch is in the <br />DC position the compressor shall operate whenever the pressure switch senses low system <br />pressure, however if in the AC position the shoreline inlet must be plugged in before <br />compressor shall operate. <br />The batterv charger/compressor sha11 be wired to the 120-volt shoreline to activate <br />automatically when power is connected. <br />Battery charaer/compressor shall be located in the front left body compartment. <br />ALTERNATOR <br />A C.E. Niehoff, model N1222-5, alternator shall be provided. It shall have a rated output <br />current of 290 amp as measured by SAE method J56. Also it shall have a custom three (3)-set <br />point voltage reaulator. manufactured by C. E. Niehoff. The alternator sha11 be coiu7ected to <br />thepower and ground distribution system with heavy-duty cables sized to carr-y tlie full rated <br />alternator output. <br />BODY MARKER LIGHTS (rear) <br />There shall be seven (7) Truck-Lite, model 35, LED style clearance/marlcer liQhts with <br />ai-mored mounting brackets provided at the rear of the apparatus. There shall be three (3) <br />provided in the rear tailboard, one (1) each side at rear of catwalk and one (1) each side of <br />apparatus on the side of the catwalk. <br />ELECTRONIC LOAD MANAGER <br />An electronic load manaaement (ELM) system shall be provided that monitors the vehicles <br />12-volt electrical system, automatically reduces the electrical load in the event of a low <br />voltage condition, and automatically restores the shed electrical loads when the low voltage <br />condition expires. This ensures the integrity of the electrical system. The ELM shall monitor <br />the vehicle's voltaae while at the scene (parkina brake applied). <br />Page 31
