Specifications <br />lights sha11 be activated whenever the parkin? brake is set and the switch is "on". <br />The rear warning li?hts shall be mounted on stainless steel brackets with all wiring totally <br />enclosed. These brackets shall also support the clearanceimarker lights. <br />ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GENERAL DESIGN for ALTERNATING CLrRRENT <br />The following guidelines shall apply to the 120/240 VAC system installation: <br />General <br />Any fixed line voltage power source producing alternating cunent (ac) line voltage shall <br />produce electric power at 60 cycles plus or minus 5 cycles. <br />Except where superseded by the requirements of NFPA 1901, all components, equipment <br />and iristallation procedures shall conform to NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (herein <br />referred to as the NEC). <br />Line voltage electrical system equipment and nlaterials included oil tlie apparatus shall be <br />listed and installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instz-uctions. All products shall <br />be used onlv in the manner for which they have been listed. <br />Groundina <br />Groundina shall be in accordance with Section 250-6 "Portable and Vehicle Mounted <br />Generators" of the NEC. Unffrounded systems shall not be used. Onl?, stranded or braided <br />copper conductors shall be used for arounding and bonding. <br />A-1 equipment grouildinQ means sha11 be provided in accordance with Section 250-91 <br />(Groundin2 Conductor Material) of the NEC. <br />The 2rounded current carrying conductor (neutral) sha11 be insulated froin the equipment <br />trrounding conductors and f.rom the equipment enclosures and other grounded pal-ts. The <br />neutral conductor sha11 be colored white or gray in aecordance with Section 200-6 (Means oi <br />Identifying Groundin- Conductors) of the NEC. <br />In addition to the bondinlg required for the lov voltage retuin cui-rent, each body and driving <br />or crew compartment enclosure shall be bonded to the vehicle frame by a copper conductor. <br />This conductor shall have a minimum amperage rating of 115 percent of the nameplate <br />cunent rating of the power source specification label as defined in Section 310-15 (ainp <br />capacities) of the NEC.
