year of this Agreement for previous year service as a designated training dispatcher. <br />ARTICLE 27: <br />UNIFORM MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE <br />SECTION 1: Effective July 1,2001 and each year thereafter, all employees shall <br />receive an annual uniform mainfienance allowance in the amount of Six Hundred and <br />Fifty Doflars ($650.00). This amount shall be paid in the regufar paycheck during the <br />first pay period in December of each year. <br />In addition, probationary employees shall receive an advance of one-half (I/2) of <br />the first year's uniform maintenance allowance upon appointment to the department, <br />and one-half (1/2) after completion of six (6) months of service. <br />ARTICLE 28: <br />HOSPITALIZATION <br />SECTION I: The Employer shall provide either individual or family medical insurance <br />coverage at the employee's option for each full-time empioyee. The Employer shall <br />have the option of seeking alternate health insurance providers or plans and will <br />attempt to offer at least two (2) different plans. Basic hospitalization will be consistent <br />with and similar to those plans offered on July 1, 1994. Basic hospitalization will be that <br />offered to all other employees of the City of North Olmsted. The Employer has the right <br />to negotiate co-payment and prescription drug rates with providers to lower the cost to <br />the Employer as well as the employee contribution. <br />SECTION 2: <br />(A) Effective July 1, 2001 and through the duration of this agreement, full-time <br />employee(s) participating within either an individual or family plan shall contribute <br />an amount equa{ to thirteen (13%) percent of the plan premium or expected cost <br />of such medical plan and the Employer shall contribute eighty-seven (87%) <br />percent of such cost. The employee contribution shall be withheld via payroll <br />deduction not later than the first pay period each month. <br />SECTION 3: In conjunction with participation within a medical plan, the full-time <br />employee may subscribe to and participate in the following optional health benefit <br />coverage(s): <br />1. Dental <br />2. Vision - Optional Plan # I(Vision plan which was in effect August 1994.) <br />24
