Sa. The advertisement, insirucrions to bidder, bid forms, and bond requirements will <br />be Burgess & Niple standards. The general conditions will be the Standard <br />General Conditions of the Construction Contract prepared by Engineers Joint <br />Contract Documents Committee. The prevailing wage rates and affidavits will <br />be obtained from the Ohio Board of Labor Relations. <br />Sc. CITI' and the Underground UrilitX Protective Services will be contacted to <br />determine if any utiliries are located within the area of the proposed <br />improvements. <br />Sd. Twelve sets of plans and conixact documents will be fiunished to the CITY for <br />bidding puxposes. <br />Se. An estimate of construcrion costs for the major components of the proposed <br />improvements will be submitted prior to bidding. <br />Sf. One pre-construction meeting lasting no more than 1 hour will be held to <br />explain the proposed improvements. The proposal does not include identifying <br />prospective bidders, obtaining bids, evaluating bids, or providing <br />recommendations relative to awarding a coniract for the proposed <br />unprovements. <br />Sg. Eight site visits lasting no more than 4 hours each will be made during <br />construction of the proposed improvements ta observe the progress and quality <br />of the executed work and to determine in general if the work is proceeding in <br />accordance with the plans and specificarions. The visits are not a substitute for <br />resident inspecrion services during construction. On the seventh visit, a punch <br />Iist will be prepared, and the eighth visit will confum compliance with the punch <br />list. The proposal does not include reviewing of materials used in construction <br />of the proposed improvements; reviewing of the final estimate of work <br />performed by the Contractor upon which the fmal payment to the Contractor <br />will be based; preparing and approving of any change orders to the Contract; <br />reviewing the order of construction and work progress charts submitted by the <br />Contractor; or reviewing the work of laboratories in the testing and inspection of <br />materials and equipment to be used in the construcrion. <br />Si. No start-up assistance will be required for the proposed improvements. <br />A hydrologic analysis will be performed which would include the following: <br />Deternune the drainage area at the dam site. <br />2. Determine the soil type, time of concentration, and runoff curve <br />number for the drainage area. <br />Determine the 10-, 25-, 50-, and 100-year rainfall amounts. <br />4. Determi.ne the 10-, 25-, 50-, and 100-year floods at the dam site. <br />Determine the storage volume behind the dam based on the topographic <br />information provided and site constraints. <br />b. Determine the spillvray rating for a proposed grass-lined emergency <br />spillway.
