Determine what flood can safely pass the nroposed spillway <br />improvements at the dam with no adverse impact on the Canterbury <br />Road culvert rating. <br />8. Deternune the depth of flow in the emergency spillway for other flood <br />units smaller than the spillway design flood. <br />Not included in our scope and not anricipated is the following: <br />- Subsurface exploration <br />- EmbanlQr?ent stability or seepage analyses <br />- Dam failure emergency action plan <br />- Wetlands detemunation <br />SECTION III - ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />A. Additional Services may be provided if authorized by the CITY. Such addirional services <br />may include, but are not limited to: <br />Developing a preliminary plan identifying several other possible alternative <br />improvements for rehabilitating the Springvale Golf Course Dam and <br />maxiinizing storage will be prepared. The plan will include sketches of each of <br />the possible improvements; the layout of the improvements; construction <br />materials to be used; and associated cost of the improvements. <br />2. Design services necessary to apply for an ODNR State of Ohio Dam Permit. <br />The furnishing of any other professional services as required and as requested by <br />the CITY. <br />B. It is understood that when duly authorized, the E/A shall perform such additional services <br />as indicated immediately above with its own regularly employed personnel as applicable, <br />or shall employ others to perform such services when needed, or shall furnish consulting <br />services as required when others are employed directly by the CITY for the performance <br />of such services. <br />C. The CITY reserves the right to authorize the E/A to perform any or all such services or to <br />directly employ others for any or all such services. <br />SECTION IV-SERVICES TO BE FURNISHED BY THE CITY <br />A. It is the E/A's understanding the CITY will provide: <br />A locarion for the disposal area(s) for excavation and demolition materials and a <br />borrow area for new,embankment material. Excavation from the reservoir area <br />will not be suitable for the proposed dam embanlanent improvements. The <br />resulting excavated area will provide slightly less than 50 acre-feet of storage <br />below the top of the dam, with a gabion-lined shoreline around the pond. <br />2. Topographic infQrmation in AutoCAD version 12 format as idenrified under <br />General Professional Services. <br />Provide B&N with sample of lettering and other drafting standards needed for <br />plan preparation and a disk containing the data in AutoCAD version 12 format. <br />4
