hours of work under snow or saiting activity when such hours are continuous to <br />regular shift hours. <br />(d) Empioyees assigned to the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Waste Water Systems, <br />Building Maintenance and Service Department shall be permitted ten (10) minutes <br />wash-up time before lunch period and fifteen (15) minutes wash-up time before the <br />conclusion of each respective shift. <br />Section 5. Employees will be paid time and one-half (1 1/2) of their straight time rate of pay for <br />hours worked in excess of eight (8) in any one work day and time and one-half (1 1/2) of their <br />straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. In the <br />interest of health and safety, management may send an employee home before he completes his <br />regular scheduled shift when the employee has worked the maximum consecutive emergency <br />overtime hours. Such regularly schedu(ed shift hours not worked will be credited toward the forty (40) <br />haur work week requirement for any subsequent overtime hours worked. Employees other than <br />thase working rotating shifts at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, shall receive twice (2x) the rate <br />of their regular pay for hours worked on Sunday. A work day is a twenty-four (24) hour period <br />commencing at the start of the employee's scheduled shift. Hours worked on a day designated as <br />a holiday in Article 22 shall be paid at twice (2x) the employse's straight time rate of pay for hours <br />worked in addition to regular haliday pay in accordance with Article 22. Hours worked on a day <br />designated as a Personal Day in accordance with Article 22, shall be paid at time and one-half (1 <br />112) the employees straight time pay rate for hours worked, in addition to regular holiday pay in <br />accocdance with Article 22. <br />(a) Employees of the Waste Water Treatment Plant shall be paid double (2X) the <br />employee's straight time rate of pay for hours worked in addition to regular holiday <br />pay for hours worked on Thanksgiving and Christmas. <br />Section 6. In determining whether an employee has worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any <br />work wesk, the following shall be considered as hours worked: <br />(a) Hours on a holiday which the employee did not work, but for which he received pay <br />pursuant to Article 22 of this Agreement; <br />erris:opeiu&n-ao <br />ssxNOUM.wPO 12 <br />
