(b) Hours of vacation which the employee did not work but for which he received pay <br />pursuant to Article 21 of this Agreement. <br />( c) Hours of jury duty or witness duty which the empioyee did not work for which he <br />received pay pursuant to Article 26 of this Agreement. There shall be no pyramiding <br />of overtime. <br />Section 7. If a time clock is to be used for a department, all hourfy empioyees shali be required <br />to dock in and cfock out at the beginning and end of each shift. Any employee clocking in late will <br />be docked to the nearest tenth of an hour. Any employee working overtime the approval of <br />supervision shall be paid overtime to the next tenth of an hour. <br />ARTtCIE 19 - DISTRIBUTION OF OVERT(ME <br />Section 1. The City shall be the sole judge of the necessity of overtime. Af1 overtime shall be <br />voluntary and an empioyee shall have the right to refuse any overtime assignment except for <br />emergencies. An "emergency' is de#ined as any impairment to City senrices or operations which <br />cannot be delayed until the beginning of the next regular work day. In non-emergency situations, the <br />City may require the least senior qualified employees in the classi#ication who are available, to <br />per#orm the overtime work. <br />Section 2. The City shall endeavor, insofar as it may be practicable, to make a generally <br />equitable distribut9on of overtime work among employees within a classification and department who <br />are capable of performing the available work satisfactorily. Employees who are offered overtime and <br />for any reason refuse or fail to work shail be credited with the overtime as if they had worked, for the <br />purpose o# overtime distribution. An employee who works overtime will be credited only with the <br />number of hours he actually worked. An employee who should have been called up for overtime, but <br />was missed, shali have deducted from his equalization the total number of hours that were worked <br />on that overtime call.
