departrnent shall be of#ered the overtime work and the overtime apportunity shail be distributed as <br />equitable as possible. The City shall maintain lists by classification showing the overtime hours of <br />each employee. A1i overtime hours shall be recorded on a daily basis. The overtime lists shal{ be <br />posted a# each wosk location (Service Garage, P1ant and Systems) and shall be kept current on a <br />daily basis. The Service Mechanics and helpers will be subject to rotating overtime. These overtime <br />lists shall be reduced to zero and start again on July 1st of each year. Students, seasonal and part- <br />time employees will not work overtime until all regular employees have been offered overtime. <br />Section 3. During snow season, employees will be canvassed daily to determine their availability <br />during the ensuing non-shi#tlovertime hours for snow removal or ice control duty. Nowever, <br />employees who refaase overtime but ultimately would not have been called off the list will not be re- <br />credited with overfime hours worked. The overfime seniority list wi}I be followed and those employees <br />, <br />not interested in being called wifl not be cvntacted on a sut7sequent call out unless emergency <br />conditions develop. ? <br />? <br />Section 4. For the purpose of this section, there shall be an exception to the distribution of <br />overfime in accordance with the overtime procedure above. <br />1.) The City may schedule an employee to work more than his regular scheduled day not <br />to exceed ten (10) hours in a week. <br />2.) Once an employee has worked ten (10) hours the Ci#y shall offer overtime in strict <br />accordance with the overtime provision above. <br />This section pertains to hold over only, all call outs shal( remain in strict compliance with the <br />call ou# procedure contained herein. <br />This section is not to be construed to give the City the unlimited right to deviate from the <br />overfime procedure, but to aNow an assigned crew to complete scheduled work assignments in an <br />efficien# manner. <br />Section 5.
