One-half ('/z) Day New Years Eve Employee's Birthday Section . An empbyee in the Wastewater Treatrnent Plant or the Service Department who may be scheduled to woric a full day on Good Friday or Christmas Eve will receive compensatory time off. Section 3. !n addition to the above holidays, a regular fuil-time employee shall be entitied to obsarved two (2) personal days as a holiday with pay in each ofi the years (Jufy 1 through June 30) covered by the terms of this Agreement. The personai days shali be scheduled by mutual agreement between the empioyee and his supervisor. Persona! Days may be scheduled in one half (% ) day increments. Section 4. If an empiayee does not use sick leave time for any 6 month period, from his Iast sick day, he shall receive two (2) personal days off or, at his option, the cash equivaient of one (1) or two (2) days. Such bonus days may be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the City and the employee. 11 Such bonus days must be taken withiR one (1) year of accrual. Up to one absence per year for attending a funeral as provided in Art+cle 15 may be used without affecting eligibility for bonus days. Section 5. To be entitled to holiday pay, employees must work the last regular work day before the first regular woric day after the holiday unless excused by the City. if any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or a Sunday, either the previous Friday or the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday, except that where employees at the Wastewater Ptant (which maintains a 7 day operation) normalty work a rotating shift, the holiday shall be observed on its actual day. Section 6. An employee shall take his birthday within the pay period in which it falls except, an altemate date may be estabiished by mutual agreement between the employee and his supervisor. The aforementioned mutually agreed altemate date shall be limited tv the period of time within the pay period the employees birthday falls. ARTlCLE 23 - CALL-IN PAY Sect'son 1.
