City, in good faith, estimates that the opportunity consists of no more than one (1) hour of <br />overtime work per man required, or (2) the opportunity arises during an emergency. <br />Section 8. In distributing overtime opportunities, the City or its representatives shali not <br />engage in a po(icy favoring an empioyee or employees, unless this Agreement requires <br />certain empioyees to work the overtime. <br />ARTICLE 11 - LEAVE OF ABSENCE <br />Section 1. Mifitarv Leave: An employee shall be granted a leave of absence for military <br />duty under the terms and conditions provided in appticable, state and federal laws. <br />Section 2. Unpaid Sick Leave: A regular full-time employee who has compteted his <br />probationary period and who has exhausted his paid sick leave shall be granted a(eave of <br />absence without pay for a period not to exceed six (6) months for a continuing disabi(ity which <br />is subsfantiated by credibie medical evidence. if the illness or disability continues beyond six <br />(6) months, additional sick leave may be granted by the City upon request. The employee <br />shal( be the termination of the sick leave. Any dispute as to the abifity of an employee to <br />perform the work of the job shali be de#ermined pursuant to the medicai examination <br />procedure in the General Leave Provisions, Section 5. <br />Section 3.
