duties with no more supervision than is required by other qualified employees on the same or <br />similar jobs, and when his record as to quality and quantity of work meets the standard applicable <br />to the job. If he faiis to so qualify, he shali be retumed to his former job. An empioyee awarded <br />a job under the provisions of this Article shall receive at the time of his promotion the appropriate <br />rate of pay in the classification. <br />Section 4. No employee shal( be eligible for promotion under these provisions untit he has <br />satisfactorily completed the required probationary period. <br />Section 5. Employees shall be trained during working hours on computers and or other <br />equipment. <br />The following positions shall require the ability to use word processors and computers: <br />Secretary I, Secretary !I, Police Secretaries, Building Inspector, Head Cashier, Engineering <br />fnspector. <br />Section 6. Whenever a bargaining unit or non-bargaining unit employee is out more than <br />eight hours and is rep(aced by temporary transfer, any employes replacing the missing employee <br />shall be paid the higher of his/her own rate of pay or the missing employee's rate of pay for all <br />time worked in that transfer. Such transfers shall not exceed thirty (30) days unless mutually <br />agreed between the City and the Union. <br />ARTICLE 15- VACATIONS <br />Section 1. Regularfull-time employees hired priorto July 1,1995 sha!l be granted vacation <br />leave with full pay as provided below. However, vacation carry-over is limited as set forth in <br />Section 2 be)ow. Pay in lieu of vacation is Iimited to conditions as set forth. <br />ems:opeiu/1794af1-cio _24_ <br />
