Section 2. Deductions under this Articie 4 shaN be made during the second pay <br />period of each month, but if an employee's pay for that period is insufficient to cover Union <br />dues, the City will make, a deduction. from the pay earned during the next period or a <br />subsequent period. Ali deductions under this Articie, accompanied by an alphabet+cal list <br />of all employees for whom deductions have been made, shall be transmitted to the Union <br />no Iater than the fifteenth (15) day following the end of the pay period in which the <br />deduction is made, and upon receip#, the Union shall assume full responsibility for the <br />disposition of afi funds deducted. <br />Section 3. The Union will indemnify and save the Ciiy harmless from any action <br />growing out of deductions hereunder and commenced by an empfoyee against the City or <br />the City and the Union jointly. <br />Section 4. All bargaining unit employees who are not members of the Union shatl <br />pay a fair share fee to the Union in the amount certified by the Union as being properly <br />chargeable as a fair share fee. All employees hired after the effective date of the Contract <br />who do not become members of the Union shall pay the fair share fee, effective sixty (60) <br />days from the employee's date of hire, as a condition of employment. The deduction of the <br />fair share from any earnings of the empioyee shall be automatic and does not require a <br />written authorization for payroll deduction. Payment to the Union of fair share fees shall <br />be made in accordance with Section 1 and 2 above. <br />ARTICLE 5 - BULLETIN BOARDS <br />Section 1. The City shall provide the Union three (3) enclosed and locked bulletin <br />boards: one (1) in the City Hall; one (1) in the Police Station; and one (1) in the Recreation <br />ems:opeiu/1794afl-cio _6_ <br />
