<br />(10) Public storage establishments. <br />( fl Similar Uses. Any Limited Industry-Industrial Park District use not listed above may <br />be permitted upon approval of the Planning Commission provided that: <br />(1) An urterpretation that the proposed use is similaz to the permitted use has first <br />been obtained from the Board of Zoning Appeals; <br />(2) Such use is not listed in any other classification of permitted buildings or uses, <br />and is more appropriate to and conforms more closely to the basic <br />characteristics of Limited Industry-Industrial Park District uses than to any <br />other classification; and <br />(3) Such a use does not generate traffic to a greater extent than other permitted <br />uses listed in this classification, and is similar as to hours of operation of other <br />permitted uses." <br />be amended, and, as amended, shall read in its entirety as follows: <br />"1145.03 USES PERMITTED. <br />The following shall be permitted in a Limited Industry-Industrial Park District: <br />(a) Office BuildinQS. Offices include professional, financial, governmental, public utility, <br />administrative and sales except that no retail sales involving the exchange of <br />merchandise shall be permitted. Medical offices are not permitted. <br />(b) Research Laboratories. Research laboratories include experimental, research and <br />testing, all types of basic and applied research of product design and development, <br />including the operation of sma11 scale experimental and pilot operations for <br />determining the feasibility of new technology. <br />(c) Meta1 Production. Metal production includes metal cutting, stamping, electric, gas <br />and ultrasonic welding, grinding, machining and finishing, only in the production <br />and/or assembly of products such as: <br />(1) Automotive and aircraft parts; <br />(2) Electrical and electronic equipment and motors; <br />(3) Electrical appliances; <br />(4) Hardware, cutlery and kitchen utensils; <br />(5) Musical and scientific equipment; <br />(6) Medical, orthopedic and photographic instruments and equipment; <br />(7) Sporting goods and athletic equipment; <br />(8) Sheet metal components, heating and ventilation ductwork, gutters and <br />downspouts; and <br />(9) Plumbing supplies. <br />(d) Nonmetal Production. Nonmetal production includes: <br />(1) Clothing, garment manufacturing and other textile products; <br />(2) Pharmaceutical products; <br />(3) Manufacture and fabrication of plastic products, extrusion, moulding and <br />fabrication of panels, sheets, tubes and rods; and <br />(4) Ceramics, pottery, dishware, figurines and tile from clay and the enameling <br />of pottery ware or metals. <br />7 <br />
