but no later than thirty (30) days before such divestiture, of its intentions. <br />B. The City of North Olmsted shall contact the GCRTA to request negotiations start for the <br />acquisition of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line Employees, and inform and keep informed the <br />NOTEA. <br />C. Those employees not hired by the GCRTA shall immediately be paid all accrued vacation <br />and holiday pay and be placed on priority hiring list that will be started by the City with the <br />assistance of the NOTEA and will remain in effect for two (2) years; excluding, however, any and <br />all positions where the original appointments are required to be filled by Civil Service competirive <br />testing as well as any position that is considered to be supervisory in nature. <br />Section 30.04 The Employer may continue to subcontract work for the NOMBL, as long as it <br />dces not cause lay-off or reduction in the NOMBL work force. <br />Section 30.05 In the event that the Employer ceases, in whole or ia part, to provide transit <br />services and selis, assigns, leases or otherwise transfers all or part of the work covered by this <br />agreement, or in the event GCRTA rnakes a similar decision such that the Employer ceases to <br />provide transit services, then the Employer shali notify NOTEA, in writing; as soon as the City <br />becomes aware. The use of the work "part" above shall not include schedule adjustments, route <br />modifications or cancellations, because of changing ridership demographics. <br />ARTICLE 31 <br />MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT HOURS <br />cwk- Section 31.01 The normal work week for full-time material handiers, hostlers, mechanics and <br />equipment servicers shall be forty (40) hours of work in five (5) eight (8) hour days, exclusive of <br />time allatted for meals, during the period starting 12:01 AM Sunday to 12:00 (Midnight) Saturday. <br />However, this does not constitute a guarantee of hours or work per day or per weelc. The Employer <br />reserves the right, as operationai needs and conditions require, to establish and change hours of work <br />and schedules of hours. <br />Section 31.02 All full-time Maintenance employees are allotted one fifteen (15) minute paid <br />break during the first four (4) continuous hours of their scheduled work and one fifteen (15) minute <br />paid break during the second four (4) continuous hours of schecluled work. All full-titne <br />Maintenance employees are allotted one fifteen (15) minute paid brealc before lunch for clean-up <br />time and one fifteen (15) minute paid break immediate(y prior to the end of each employee's shift. <br />Lunch time shall not be paid, but it shall be thirty (30) uninterrupted minutes; with the exception <br />of emergency breakdowns. <br />Section 31.03 All full-time maintenance employees on a night shift which crosses the midnight <br />clock, will be paid new pay rates, effective at 12:00 midnight on dates in which pay raises are <br />granted. <br />cl, <br />26 <br />
