(c) The employer may also ask a maintenance employee if he is home and available for assistance <br />if needed. A maintenance emptoyee in such a status shall be called "available" and is not required to <br />remain at his place of residence. In this status the employee shall only be paid the three (3) hours at <br />time and one-half if he is called into work. <br />(d) The employer shall make an earnest effort to notify maintenance employees when overtime is <br />contemplated or needed as soon as the employer determines the need for said overtime. <br />Section 33.10 The employer dces acknowledge that an employee who is assigned mandatory <br />overtime may occassionally have a legitimate reason to excuse him from working such overtime. <br />The employer may require proof of an excuse and failure to provide a legitimate reason to not work <br />overtime may make this employee subject to insubordination. <br />ARTICLE 34 <br />WAGE INCREASES <br />Section 34.01 The Employer agrees to continue to pay prevailing GCRTA hourly pay rates and to <br />increase those hourty pay rates when GCRTA employees receive, including retroactivity if <br />applicable; a pay rate increase, based upon the following: <br />GCRTA GCRTA NOMBL <br />Hourly Classification Classification <br />Code Ti1fl- Tj& <br />34-7 346 ? Operator <br />The above comparison with NOMBL and GCRTA employees is for the purpose of establishing <br />pay rates, only. Job descriptions and responsibilites are different between the two operations. <br />See attached ( SAMPLE) Exhibits A-1 to A-5, which sets forth the wage schedules. <br />Section 34.O1a A new Pay Rate Classification wilt be established to operate Community and/or <br />Neighborhood based services. These services wiil be initially operated in a fixed routeJfixed <br />schedule mode, however the service may eventually provide routings that are more responsive to its <br />patrons travel patterns. These services will be operated as Community Circulator service and all <br />hours worked by an operator on these services whether it be for a full day or a partial day; will be <br />paid at a percentage of the top Bus Operator rate; as specified for Greater Cleveland RTA, CRT <br />Operators. The Employer shall minimize the daily number of different operators scheduled to work <br />Community Circulator routes, wherever this is practicable and provides for efficient operator <br />scheduling. Hours worked by an operator on non-Community Circulator routes shall be paid based <br />upon the schedule for a Regular Operator. The Empioyer shall pay an operator scheduled to work a <br />Community Circulator Service, if they are on authorized Sick Leave, Holiday, Vacation, etc. the <br />= rate applicable as if he/she had worked the Community Circulator route.
