ARTICLE 13 <br />CLOTHING ALLOWANCE <br />13.1 Effective January l, 1998, all full-time bargaining unit members shall <br />receive an annual clothing allowance of One Thousand and Three Hundred ($1,300.00) <br />Dollars payable with the first reguiar pay check in January in a separate check, for the <br />duration of this Agreement. (Clothing allowance shall be pro-rated per month in the <br />employees 5na1 year of employment.) <br />ARTICLE 14 <br />SICK LEAVE <br />14.1 Sick leave shall be accumulated in accordance with Section 161.01 of the <br />Codified Ordinance of the City of North Olmsted. <br />14.2 In the event that a full-time sworn employee of the North Olmsted Police <br />Depariment should be injured while in the line of duty due to a sudden and accidental <br />occurrence, and such injury has so incapacitated said member of the Police Department <br />that he is temporarily unable to work, then the Director of Public Safety, after <br />detennining that said injury is work-related and is of a temporary nature, may authorize <br />ninety (90) days sick leave. If after such ninety (90) day sick leave period, said employee <br />is still temporarily incapacitated, then the Director of Public Safety shall recommend to <br />Council whether or not to continue said salary. Council shall forthwith review the matter <br />and by majority vote, determine whether the employee shall continue to receive his full <br />salary during recuperation. While off on line of duty sick leave, if in the opinion of the <br />employee's doctor and a doctor chosen by the employer indicates the employee is capable <br />of retuming to work in a restricted duty position, the employee will be offered a restricted <br />(19) <br />
