ADAMS, P.E. <br />SENIOR HIGHWAY ENGINEER <br />EDUCATION: <br />Graduate Studies Civil Engineerins3, 1991-1992 <br />Graduate Studies Business Administration, 1985-1987 <br />B.S., Civil Engineering, 1976 <br />EXPERIENCE: <br />Mr. Adams has worked on highway design, rehabilitation of railroad tracks, airport nunway <br />improvemems, and various sitework projects. His involvement has included pavement and roadway <br />design, utilities, site grading, drainage, specifications, and consuuction management. <br />Mr. Adams has worked on the preparation of contract plans for the relocation of State Route 164 in <br />Ohio. The detailed design was preceded by an alignment study and a report presenting four feasible <br />corridor routes inctuding flood pfain studies and public hearings. <br />In addition, he has worked on the Noctheast Corridor Improvemern Praject (NECIP) which <br />encompassed the rehabilitation of existing railroad tracks from Washington, D.C. to Boston, <br />Massachusetts. Mr. Adasns has experience in the areas of aligncnetrt design, drainage, trackbed ballsst <br />sections, typical sections, and utilities accommodation for approximately 55 miles of the NECIP. Ht <br />has also woriced on the development of field reconnaissance studies for drainage and roadbed <br />stability. <br />His most recent pro,yect expenence includes: <br />• Tobacco Row StreEtscape Improvements, City of Richmond, Virginia. The work consisted of <br />reconstruction and widerong of East Cary Stteet, im?rovem?s to East Main and East Franidin <br />Streets, and north-south streets from 21 st to 26th Street and relocation of Dock 5treet. The <br />design also included the necessary inlets, catch basins and drainage facilities, utihty <br />reanangements, hazidicapped access ramps, skid resistance pavement, specifications and cost <br />estimates. <br />• Danville Expressway (Route 265) in Danville, Virginia for the Vrginia Departmeat of <br />Tcansportation. Preliminary and final engiuneering design for all drainage systtms for this ncw <br />nnal and urban four lane limited access ?C?ghvvay 265, connecting U.S. Route 58 to U.S. Route <br />29 in Pittsylvania Cowrty. <br />PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION: 1980, Civil Engineering
