An employee shall receive step increases on <br />their anniversary date of hire in accordance with the length of <br />service provided in Sections 1, 2 and 3 above. <br />Section 5. The City shall compute overtime separately from <br />straight time and shall show the overtime and straight time <br />separately on the employee's pay stub. Addit'Lonally, the City <br />shall compute and show on the employee's pay stub the accrued <br />sick lzave and vacation time. Paychecks will normally be avail- <br />able on Friday at noon for employees who are not sche3uled to <br />work Friday or have completed their work at that time, and at the <br />end of the day shift for other employees. Paychecks for employ- <br />ees ending their scheduled week at 8:30 a.m. on Friday will be <br />available at 8:30 a.m. on that Friday. <br />In the event of a shortage of an employee paycheck that <br />exceeds $25.00, such shortage shall be paid within forty-eight <br />(48) working hours after notification of shortage is made to the <br />supervisor. <br />SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL <br />ARTICLE XXVIII <br />Section 1. Effective July 20, 1989, all employees shall <br />receive a shift differential in the amount of thirty cents ($.30) <br />per hour; thirty cents ($.30) per hour effective July 20, 1990; <br />and thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour effective July 20, 1991. <br />Section 2. Shift differential shall be paid to employees <br />assigned to the second (2nd) (1600-2400), third (3rd) (2400-0800) <br />and swing (2000-0400) shifts. <br />LONGEVITY <br />ARTICLE XXIX <br />Section 1. All employees hired prior to January 1, 1990 <br />shall receive annual longevity pay as additional compensation <br />computed on annual wages, which shall be divided by twenty-six <br />(26) and included in each paycheck, as follows: <br />4$ after employee completes 5 years <br />- -20-
