Page 21 <br />r <br />ARTICLE XXV <br />LIGHT DUTY <br />25.1 If Light Duty is available, or at the Fire Chief's <br />discretion; an Employee may be assigned Light Duty. He <br />shall first submit a request to the Fire Chief with <br />corroboration from the Employee's physician as to why and <br />how long the Employee will be on Light Duty. For an <br />Employee on Light Duty to return to full duty status, <br />the Employee must submit written permission from his <br />physician reinstating him. <br />25.2 Any Employee assigned Light Duty shall continue to <br />receive all compensation and fringe benefits, including <br />accumulation of Seniority attached to his normally <br />assigned position. The assignment must be approved and <br />defined by the Fire Chief and return to full duty work <br />can be mandated by a physician selected by the Employer. <br />ARTICLE XXVI <br />EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT <br />26.1 Cadets shall receive $3.00 per day for expenses while in <br />' attendance at a state certified fire fighters training <br />school as mandated by law. <br />26.2 Should a Cadet be required to travel round trip from <br />N.O.F.D. #l to school, the Employer shall reimburse at <br />the rate per mile established from time to time, unless <br />the Cadet travels in an Employer-owned vehicle. <br />26.3 Should a Cadet be required to be away from his residence <br />overnight for,'such schooling the Employer shall pay all <br />costs for meals, housing and transportation. <br />ARTICLE XXVII <br />COURT LEAVE <br />27.1 The Employer shall grant leave with the Basic Hourly <br />Rate of Pay plus Longevity or Overtime Pay (as applicable) <br />to an Employee for the period of time he is required to <br />appear before a court, judge, justice, magistrate or <br />coroner as a plaintiff, defendant or witness in matters <br />directly relating to his job as an Employee of the Employer.
