•,?.Page 24 <br />agreement, the party requesting such negotiations shall: <br />A. Serve written notice upon the other party of the <br />proposed successor agreement not less than ninety <br />days-prior to the expiration date of the existing <br />agreement. <br />B. Offer to bargain collectively with the other party <br />for the purpose of negotiating a successor agreement. <br />C. Notify the State Employment Relations Board of the <br />offer by serving upon the board a copy of the written <br />notice to the other party and a copy of the existing <br />collective bargaining agreement. <br />D. Upon receipt of the notice, the parties shall enter <br />into collective bargaining. <br />E. In the event the parties are unable to reach an <br />agreement, the impasse procedure as set forth in <br />Section 4117.14 O.R.C. shall prevail. <br />31.4 The parties shall continue in full force and effect all <br />the terms and conditions of the existing collective <br />bargaining agreement for a period of sixty days after the <br />party gives notice or until the expiration-date of the <br />collective bargaining agreement, whichever is.later. <br />ARTICLE XXXII <br />BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br />32.1 In the event of death of immediate family other than the <br />Employee's spouse or children, the Employee shall receive <br />two (2) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour shifts._0ff. <br />32.2 In the event.of death of an Employee's spouse or children, <br />the Employer shall provide a total of ninety-six (96) <br />hours of compassionate leave. <br />32.3 Should an Employee need more time off for a death of <br />spouse or children, and he can supply a physician's <br />statement, any time off in excess of the compassionate <br />leave shall be deducted from the Employee's accumulated <br />sick leave. <br />ARTICLE XXXIII <br />DRUG AVD ALCOHOL POLICY <br />The Employer shall institute a Drug and Alcohol Policy <br />which complies with the one that currently is in effect <br />in the City of North Olmsted. (See attached Exhibit (A))
