ARTICLE XXVI <br />EXPENSE REINIBURSE??IENT <br />26.1 Cadets shall receive $6.00 per ciay for expenses while in attendance <br />at a stat2 certified fire fighters trainirg school as Mandated by <br />law. <br />26.2 Should a Cadet be required to travel round trip from N.O.F.D. #l to <br />school, the Employer shall reinburse at the rate per mile established <br />from time to time, unless the Cadet travels in an Fnployer-owned <br />vehicie. <br />26.3 Should a Cadet be required to be away from his residence overnight <br />for such schoolirg the Employer shall pay all costs for meals, <br />housing and transportation. <br />ARTICLE XXVII <br />COURT LEAVE <br />27.1 Zhe Fmployer shall grant leave with the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay plus <br />Longevity or Overtirne Pay (as applicable) to an Fmployee for the <br />period of tir,ie he is required to appear before a court, judge, <br />justice, magistrate or coroner as a plaintiff, defendant or witness <br />in matters directly relating to his job as an Fliployee of the <br />Fmployer. <br />27.2 The Fr.iployer shall prant leave with the Basic Hourly Rate of Pay plus <br />Longevity to an Enployee for the period of time he is required to <br />appear for Jury duty. <br />27.3 The Fmployee may be required to work weekends while on jury duty. He <br />shall not be required to work 12 hours before jury duty or twelve <br />hours after Jury duty. <br />ARTICLE XXVIII <br />CONTINUING IDUCATION <br />The Fmployer shall provide continuing education for those Fnployees <br />who are required ta recertify in areas that require mandatory <br />recertification for the Rnployee to maintain employment. Costs <br />for continuirg education shall be paid by the Employer and if said <br />education requires the Fnployee to attend classes above and beyond <br />his Normal Work Schedule, he shall be paid Overtime Pay. The <br />education naist be approved in advance by the Fire Chief or his <br />designee. <br />-24- <br />_.
