lists by classification -showing the overtime hours of each <br />employee. All overtime hours shall be recorded on a daily basis. <br />The overtime lists shall be posted at each work location (Service <br />Garage, Plant and Systems) and shall be kept current on a daily <br />basis. The Service Mechanics and helpers will be subject to <br />rotatinq overtime. These overtime lista shall be reduced to zero <br />and start again on July lst of each year. Students, seasonal and <br />part-time employees will not work overtime until all reqular <br />employees have been offered overtime. <br />Section 3: Durinq snow season, employees will be canvassed <br />daily to deternaine their availability durinq the ensuinq non- <br />shift/overtime hours for snow removal or ice control duty. <br />However, employees who refused overtime but ultimately would not <br />have been called off the list will not be credited with overtime <br />hours worked. The overtime seniority list will be followed and <br />those employees not interested in beinq called will not be <br />contacted on a subsequent call out unless emerqency conditions <br />develop. <br />Section 4: For the purposes of Article 11 it shall not be <br />deemed practicable to distribute an overtime opportunity in <br />strict accordance with the overtime lists where: (i) The City, <br />in good faith, estimates that the opportunity consists of no more <br />than one (1) hour of overtime work per man required, or (2) the <br />opportunity arises durinq an emergency as defined in Section 1. <br />Section 5: For the purpose of overtime distribution, if an <br />employee is promoted or transferred to another classification the <br />employee shall be credited with one (1) hour more than the most <br />senior houred employee. <br />18
