MALCOW Section 2
IRNI Project Approach
This base map would usable for not only the purposes of the present
NPDES stormwater permit application but also for the other WWTP
site work including any design work which may result form the ongo-
ing North Olmsted WWTP Facilities Plan Update. Approaching the
project in this manner will allow the City to obtain maximum utility
from the stormwater discharge permit application.
2) Present the existing drainage information within one quarter mile of
the WWTP site using the most recent Cuyahoga County Orthophotos
having one foot contour lines. Four orthophotos will be required.
This approach greatly minimizes the costs of the aerial photography
and ground control points surveying.
3) Use of the personnel and laboratory facilities of the WWTP to un-
dertake to collect and analyze the required stormwater sample.
Malcolm Pirnie will lease, install and calibrate the flow monitor,
sampler and raingauge for the one storm event. By utilizing the City
personnel to perform the physical collection and by utilizing the
WWTP laboratory and the existing conservative pollutant parameters
laboratory contract to complete the analytical work, the cost of hav-
ing Malcolm Pirnie mobilize to collect the sample and the cost of
analysis by an external laboratory will be etiminated.
4) Analyze and assemble the data base for inclusion in the stormwater
discharge permit in such a manner that any future construction pro-
jects at the WWTP site can be easily analyzed. Future construction
projects will have to be preceded by requesting some stormwater
impact analysis appcovals from the Ohio EPA which are not present-
ly required as part of the Ohio EPA construction permitting proce-
dures.
Scope of Services
To accomplish the Project Approach, Malcolm Pirnie will perform the
following tasks:
Task 100 - Project Planniniz, Management and Qualitv Assurance•
Malcolm Pirnie will obtain the necessary NPDES permit application
forms for filing with the Ohio EPA, and arrange the planning of the
project such that the application and its supporting documentation
can be submitted to the Ohio EPA by the City of North Olmsted by
the October 1, 1992 regulatory deadline.
M-30261.11/CLG
Cunlidcniml 13usincss Information
Nonlr Olntsted 6VW"I'P Slomztivater NPDES Pemiit Applicatlon / 2-3
RLCYCLLDPAPER
