5ection 28.03. To the extent permitted by the insurance provider's <br />rules, a full-time employee who leaves his job shall be allowed to convert <br />his group term life policy to an individual policy, at his own expense. <br />ARTICLE XXIX <br />MAINTENANCE IlKPLOYEE ALLOWANCE <br />Section 29.01. Effective June, 1992 -$275.00 <br />Effective June, 1993 - $300.00 <br />Effective June, 1994 - $325.00 <br />Mechanics and Equipment Servicers shall receive an allowance for the <br />purchase of tools, safety shoes and/or additional clothing changes. <br />Section 29.02. Effective January, 1992 -$150.00 <br />Effective January, 1993 - $150.00 <br />Effective January, 1994 - $150.00 <br />Fu11-time Hostlers and Material Handlers shall receive an allowance for <br />the purcha.se of safety shoes and/or additional clothing changes. <br />ARTICLE XXX <br />JOB SECURITY <br />Section 30.01. The Employer and the NOTEA recognize that the Employer <br />obtains its authority to operate the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line <br />(NOMBL) fran an operating agreement between the Greater Cleveland Regional <br />Transit Authority (GCRTA) and the Fmployer. Both the Employer and the NOTEA <br />recognize tha.t said operating agreement provides certain job protections for <br />NOMBL employees in the event that the Employer ceases to operate the NOMBL. <br />(Letter of Understanding, between City and GCRTA; Appendix B-1) <br />Section 30.02. The Employer and the NOTEA agree that the Employer <br />shall have no full-time job security obligations, except as are provided for <br />in the operating agreement between the Employer and the GCRTA. <br />Section 30.03. The Employer and the NOTEA recognize that wages <br />provided by the Employer pursuant to this Collective Bargaining Agreement, <br />ma,y not exceed those available to similar situated employees of the GCRTA. <br />The Employer and NOTEA further recognize that some benefits and other terms <br />and conditions of employment provided by the Employer may exceed those <br />available to similar situated enployees of GCRTA. In the event the Employer <br />ceases to provide transit services and as a result thereof, GCRTA becomes <br />bound to this Collective Ba.rgaining Agreement, the wages, benefits and other <br />terms arxl conditions set forth in this Collective Bargaining Agreement, <br />automatically will be modified, if necessary, to conform to the wages, <br />benefits and working conditions provided to GCRTA to its si.milar situated <br />employees, provided, however that the foregoing will not in any way affect <br />some accrued benefits, including vacation and sick leave. <br />-24-
