Section 30.04. The Fmployer may continue to subcontract work for the <br />NOMBL, as long as it does not cause lay-off or reduction in the NOMBL work <br />force. <br />Section 30.05. The Fmployer shall institute a revised Drug and Alcohol <br />Policy which complies both with the UMTA regulations and the requirements of <br />the GCRTA operating agreement. <br />Section 30.06. In the event that the Employer ceases, in whole or in <br />part, to provide transit services and sells, assigns, leases or otherwise <br />transfers all or part of the work covered by this agreement, or in the event <br />GCRTA makes a similar decision such that the Fmployer ceases to provide <br />transit services, then the Fmployer shall notify NOTEA, in writing; as soon <br />as the City becomes aware. The use of the work "part" above shall not <br />include schedule adjustments, route modifications or cancellations, because <br />of changing ridership demographics. <br />ARTICLE XXXI <br />MAINTENANCE DEPARTTENT HOURS <br />Section 31.01. The normal work week for full-time material handlers, <br />hostlers, mechanics and equipment servicers shall be forty (40) hours of <br />work in five (5) eight (8) hour days, exclusive of time allotted for meals, <br />during the period starting 12:01 AM Sunday to 12:00 AM (Midnight) Saturday. <br />However, this does not constitute a guarantee of hours or work per day or <br />per week. The Fmployer reserves the right, as operationa.l needs and <br />conditions require, to establish and change hours of work and schedules of <br />hours. <br />Section 31.02. All full-time Maintenance employees are allotted one <br />fifteen (15) minute paid break during the first four (4) continuous hours of <br />their scheduled work and ane fifteen (15) minute paid break during the <br />second four (4) continuous hours of scheduled work. All full-time <br />Maintenance enployees are allotted ane fifteen (15) minute paid break before <br />lunch for clean-up time and one fifteen (15) minute paid break immediately <br />prior to the end of each employee's shift. Lunch time sha.ll not,be paid, <br />but it shall be thirty (30) uninterrupted minutes; with the exception of <br />emergency breakdowns. <br />Section 31.03. Al1 full-time maintenance enployees on a night shift <br />which crosses the midnight clock, will be paid new pa.y rates, effective at <br />12:00 midnight on dates in which pay raises are granted. <br />-25-
