Employees assigned to work in or about PRCS's shall have documented <br />training proficiency that includes: <br />a• Chemical and physical hazards <br />b. Safe work practices and techniques <br />c. Testing requirements/instrumentation <br />d. Safety equipment, including: <br />(1) Protective clothing <br />(2) Lifelines, harnesses, extraction devices, etc. <br />e. Emergency first aid and rescue procedures <br />f. Applicable Federal, State and local regulations <br />g. This Permit Required Confined Space Procedure <br />2. A written record will be maintained of the employ's training, including the <br />name of the trainer. <br />G. Personal Protective Devices <br />1. Hand & Body Protection may be required by the entry supervisor if the <br />PRCS contains any potential chemical, mechanical, abrasive hazards. <br />a. Protective gloves and coveralls must provide chemical resistance <br />from hazardous materials. <br />b. Secondary exposures to chemicals can occur by use of unproperly <br />rated materials, i.e., chemical permeation through glove material. <br />3. Fall Protection is required during ALL PRCS operations as part of the <br />Non-Entry Rescue Requirements. (Refer to next section, H.4.) <br />a. Full-body harness must meet the Class III requirements of OSHA <br />1926.104 and ANSI A10.14. <br />6
