? ., ORUINANCE NO. 3158 Page 6 (a) Any liquid or vapor having a temperature higher than 1500 F. (b) Any water or wastes containi.ng free oilss eiaulsified oils and grsase exceeding an average of 100 parts per mi7.lion (833 pounas per million gallons) of other soluble matter. (c) Any gasolineJ benzene' *iaphtha, fuel oil, or other flammable flr explosive liquid., solid or gas. (d) Any garbage that has not bean properly shredded. (e) Any ashess cinders, sarids mud, straw., shavi.ngs, metal, glass., rags., feathers, tar plastics, wood paunch, manure, hair and fleshings, entrails., lime slurry, lime residuss, chemical residues.. paint res3.dues, cannery waste, bulk sol.ids or an,y other solid or viscous substance capable of causi.ng obstruction to the flow in sewers or other intarference with proper oneration of the sewa?e works. (f) Any waters ar wastes having a pK lower than 5.5 or higher than 9.0, or having any other corrosive property capable of causing damage or haz€t.rd to structures.. equa.pment and personnel of the sewage works. (g) Any wastes or waters containing a toxic or poisonous substance, (other tkan those specifically mentionsd in this sections) in sufficient quantity to injure or interfere with aray sewage treatment process, con- stitute a hazard to humans or animals, or create any hazard 3_n the receiving waters of the sewage treatment plant. (h) Any waters or wastes containing suspended solids of such character and quantity that unusual attention or expense is required to handl.e, sucri materials at the sewage treatment plant. (i) Any noxious or malodorous gas or substarvice capable of creating a publi.c nuisance, or substances causing the release of noxious or poisonous gases after discharge into the publ3.o sewer system. (j) The limits at the industry's sewer outlet for toxic wastes, Mases oil and oil emulsions will be stipulated in indieidual cantracts between the city and industry at the ti.me industry requests permission to use the City's sanitary sewer system for the discharge of its industrial Waste. Said limi.ts shal2 be established by the Service Director _for each industry in a manner to assure that the concentrations of the several waetes a.t the sewage treatrnent works will not exceed ttiose stipulated in paragraph (k) hereof when diluted with sewage• Under no conditions will the dis- charge of cancentrated plating baths or acid pickling liquar to the sanitary sewer system be permitted whether neutralized or not. .???.
