? •, <br />. . <br />F ORE6a0RD <br />The North Olmsted City Council by ordinance, requires that the Director <br />of Public Safety establish rules and regulations for the operation of the <br />Fire Department and for the guidance of the officers and members thereof. <br />In accordance with the provisions of said ordinance, the rules and regula.-•- <br />tions hereinafter set forth are hereby established and will remain in <br />full force and effect until further notice. Any rules, regulations or <br />orders heretofore in effect which are in conflict with the rules and <br />regulations hereby established are hereby rescinded. <br />It is the purpose of these rules and regulations to promote discipline, <br />efficiency and harmony in the Fire Department to the end that it may <br />function effectively in protecting life and property and in assuring to <br />the citizens of North Olmsted the feeling of security and tranquility <br />which they are entitled to have under the law. <br />00W, <br />Members of the North Olmsted Fire Department are charged at all times <br />with the responsibility of protecting Iife, health and property; the <br />inspection of all public structures to enforce and prevent the violation <br />of the laws of the State of Ohio and the ordinances of the City of No-rth <br />Olmsted within its jurisdiction. <br />It is the duty of every member of the Fire Department to familiarize <br />himself with these rules and regulations and to conduct himself in <br />accordance with their precepts. Superior officers are enjoined to <br />instruct subordinates frequently and to exercise due diligence and <br />zeal in the enforcement of these rules and regulations. <br />?
