101.05 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 6 <br />For the ur oses of. this section, such repealed provision shall continue in full force <br />P p <br />and effect notwithstanding such repeal, provided this does not affect the limitation of <br />actions, prosecutions, or proceedings .imposed by any State statute. <br />101.05 CONSTRUCTION OF SECTION REFERENCES. <br />When reference is m~xde to any section or group of sections of the Codified Ordinances, <br />such reference shall extend to a.nd include any amendment of or supplement to the section <br />or group of sections so referred to or any section or sections .hereafter ena.eted in lieu <br />thereof; and unless otherwise provided, whenever a reference to a section- or group of <br />sections is made in any amendment or supplement to any section of the Codified Ordinances <br />hereafter enacted, such reference shall be deemed to refer to the section or sections as <br />the same shall then stand or as thereafter amended. <br />Whenever in a penalty section reference is made to a violation of a section or an <br />inclusive group of sections, such reference shall be construed to mean a violation of any <br />provision of the section or sections included in such reference. <br />References in the Ccxlified Ordinances to action taken or authorized under designated <br />sections of the Codified Or. dinances fneludc, in every case, action taken or authorized <br />under the applicable .legislative provision which is superseded by the Codified Ordinances. <br />101.OG CONFLICTING PROVISIbNS . <br />If the provisions of different codes or chapters of the Codified Ordinances conflict <br />with or contravene each other, the provisions of each code or chapter shall prevail as <br />to all matters and questions growing out of the subject matter of such code or chapter. <br />If conflicting provisions be found in different sections of the same chapter, the pro- <br />visions of the section bearing the latest passage date shall prevail. Tf the conflicting <br />provisions bear the same passage date, the conflict shall be construed so as to be con- <br />sistent with the meaning or legal effect of such chapter taken as a whole. <br />101.0,7 5EPARAI3ILI'1'Y. <br />Each section of the Codified Or. dinances and every part of each section is. an <br />independent section and part of a section, and the holding of any section or a part thereof <br />to be unconstitutional, void, ox• ineffective for any cause does not affect the validity or <br />constitutionality of any other section or part thereof. <br />101.99 GENERAL .PENAL`T'Y. <br />Whenever in the Codified Ordinances or in any ordinance of the Municipality, ax~y act <br />is prohibited or is made or declared to lie unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or <br />whenever the doing of any act is requir. ed or the failure to do any act is declared to be <br />unlawful, where no specific penalty is provided, the violation of any such provision shall <br />be punished by a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00). Any such violation shall <br />constitute a separate offense on each successive day continued. <br />
