ORDINANCE N0. 62 - 138 <br />Page 2 <br />In addition to the regular base salry, plus increment and ether <br />wage increases, all regular members of the Police Department, including <br />officers, shall on their original appointment to the department and during <br />the first calendar year during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing <br />allowance and shall during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing <br />allowance of $100.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the <br />approval of the Chief of the Police Department. <br />(Explanatory only <br />longevity Increment) <br />1 - 5 years No Increment <br />6 - 10 years inclusive 1% Increment <br />11 - 15 years inclusive 3% Increment <br />16 - 20 years inclusive 4% Increment <br />21 years &~ thereafter per year 5% Increment <br />"Section 2: That beginning April 1, 1961, the base salaries <br />of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be <br />as follows: <br />Fire Chief <br />Assistant Chief of Fire Department <br />Fire Lieutenant <br />Firemen for First Year <br />Firemen for Second Year <br />Firemen After Second Year <br />Part-time Firemen <br />$7,130.31 Annually <br />6699,56 .. <br />6,268.08 " <br />5,320.73 ~~ <br />5,566.49 '" <br />6,002.40 <br />1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Auditor Semi-Monthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed <br />five years of continuous service as a full time employee of said department <br />and only after assuming full time employment in said department, shall be <br />paid an additional one percent of their base annual salary thereafter until <br />completion of the 10th year of continuous service as a full time employee <br />in said department, when such employee shall receive three percent of his <br />base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 15th <br />year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee, <br />and thereafter shall receive four percent additional increment to his base <br />annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 20th year <br />of continuous service in said department as a full time employee and upon <br />the completion of said 20th year of said continuous service in said <br />department as a full time employee and during each year of full time <br />employment thereafter, shall receive an additonal five percent of his base <br />annual salary per annum, as a longevity increment. In computing length of <br />service for the purpose of making payments in the manner hereinabove set <br />forth as longevity increments, no credits shall be given to an employee for <br />service as a part-time employee of either the Police Department or the <br />Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of <br />computing longevity increments and such exclusions for any part time <br />employee in either of the safety departments of any other benefit which may <br />be due for such part time service, which benefits are recognized by <br />ordinance of the city for other purposes, statutes of the State of Ohio or <br />benefits to which he may be entitled to under the rules and regulations of <br />the Firemens' Relief and Pension Fund or the Ohio Public Employees <br />Retirement System. <br />In addition to the regular base salary, plus increment and other <br />wage increases, all regular members of the Fire Department, including <br />officers, shall on their original appointment to the department and during <br />the first calendar year during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing <br />allowance and shall during each calendar year thereafter, receive a <br />clothing allowance of $100.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with <br />the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department. <br />
