-~5_ <br />(b) On a corner lot facing two (2) or more frontages <br />the height shall be taken from a level midway in elevation between the <br />highest curb level and the lowest curb level; and this height limitation <br />shall apply upon such lot not farther than to the center of the lot beyond <br />which ate portion of the same lot shall have a hei~,ht limitation similar <br />to that applying upon the property next adjacent thereto. <br />(c) On a through lot the height limit including all <br />exceptions thereto, b~ginninb at either frontage, shall apply to a depth <br />:Wv <br />_~, not exceeding one-half the depth of the lot, <br />(d) On an interior lot the height limit, including all <br />exceptions thereto, shall apply to a depth equal to one-half the depth of <br />the block as measured from frontage to frontage on a line projected through <br />the center of the lot in question. A~ rear portion of such lot, beyond the <br />center line of the lots shall have a height limit similar to that applying <br />upon the lot immediately abutting in the rear thereof, <br />Section !t. HEIGHT OF PUBLIC OR SEMI::PQffi~IC BUILDINQ. In <br />~ residence or retail business district, the height limitation for public <br />or semi-public buildings, churches, hospitals, sanitariums or schools may <br />be increased to forty(!t0) feet, but not to exceed three (3) stories, pro- <br />vided that the width of each side ;yard required 1,y the Schedule of Height <br />and Area Regulations for the District in which the building is located, be <br />increased so as to provide that no point in ~ wall of the building above <br />the height limitation of the District shall be nearer to the vertical plane <br />through a side lot line than a distance equal to one-third the height of <br />such point above the curb level. <br />Section 5. HEIGHT OF SPECIAL STRUCTURES. In a reta33. <br />business, the height limitation of the District may be exceeded by struct- <br />ures requiring special design on account of their particular use in commerce, <br />(such as chimneys, stacks, detached water or wireless towers, etc.) pro- <br />vided they otherwise comply with the regulations herein prescribed. <br />Section 6. APPURTENI~NCES TO BUILDINGS. In aryy district, <br />ehimnays~ stacks, elevator bulkheads, penthouses, gas or water towers <br />cooling towers, stage towers or scenery lofts, wireless towers, and other <br />necessar~* mechanical appurtenances, where permitted by the Use Regulations, <br />and erected upon and as an integral part of the building, may be erected <br />or extended above the height limit of the district, provided that aziy such <br />structure shall set back from the vertical plane of the permitted building <br />
