~26- <br />line one (1) foot horispntally for each two (2) feet of extra height. No <br />signs shall be erected upon the roofs of buildings. Signs having their <br />base structure located in the earth, or sirens projecting from the fronts <br />of buildings, or from the side of a buildin; which has two faces adjacent <br />to public thoroughfares, shall not extend beyond the property line. <br />Section 7. APPLICATIONS Or AREA ft~C.aULATIONS, G <br />{a) No yard, court or other open space, provided about <br />ar~- building or structure for the purpose of complying with this ordinance, <br />shall be considered as a yard, court or other open space for another <br />building or structure+ <br />(b) In arty District, yards or courts, even though not <br />specifically set forth in the ~~Schedule of Height and Area Regul.ations~~ <br />shall be provided for a lot upon which a building intended to include <br />living or sleeping accommodations is to be located, unles's at least one <br />window in each room wherein people are intended to live or sleep shall <br />open directly upon a street• i~dhere required; such yards or courts shall <br />be so arranged that at least one ti~indotr in each room wherein people are <br />intended to live or sleep shall open directly upon a front yard; or upon <br />a rear yard not less than twenty (20) feet in depth; or upon a court, or <br />upon a side yard not less than three (3) feet, or less than one and <br />one-half (l~) feet for each storg of building height, in width. <br />(c) In measuring; the width and depth of the yards <br />prescribed herein a cornice projecting not more than tw:el.ve (12) inches <br />or a fence, shall not be held to reduce such required dimensions. <br />(d) A porch may be erected in a front or side yard, <br />provided it be not closer to an adjoining property line than the required <br />width of the side yard. <br />Section 8. FRONT YAt~D.S IsND ST~2Et~1 F:ZONTAGE. <br />(a) For a corner lot in ar~y Residence District or in a <br />Retail Business District, the minimum depth of yard along either frontage <br />shall be the depth of yard which is required along the same street for the <br />adjoining lot; provided that nothing in this provision shall be so inter- <br />preted as to reduce the buildable width of a corner lot of record at the <br />time of passage of this ordinance to less than twenty-five (25) feet; or to <br />require more than one yard, adjacent to the street lines, in excess of <br />twenty-five (25) feet in depth (or width). <br />~,~~.,~ .,~..,~ ~~n~~ . - - _ .. ~.. r .~ ,u __ _ <br />.., <br />
