They must never do what should be done <br />ay officers or men under them, but see that their men do their duty, each. in his <br />Place, promptly making clear and strong charges against them for failure.. <br />~.ule 100• When any member of the Department has been deprived of days off by the <br />chief of Polices and such member reports sick during such time, a special report <br />is to be made by the superior officer, stating the facts in the case, and his <br />name will be taken from the payroll for the number of days he has not been on <br />duty. <br />Rule 101. Any officer having knowledge of any suspicious person residing or oper- <br />ating within the city! or the establ~.shment of any place which is suspected of <br />being. used as a house of ill fame or assignation, or for gambling, or for any other <br />unlawful purpose, shall promptly report in writing to the officer in charge of <br />his station, any and all information he can procure concerning such place and <br />its inhabitants. <br />Rule 102• All members of The Police Department are required to and shall give <br />immediate obedience to all lawi'u~. orders 'ss~aed to them by their superior officers. <br />Failure to obey such orders or t~ take proper and diligent action when required, <br />shall. be deemed neglect of duty and cause for charges <br />Rule 103. No member of the Department shall drink spirituous, vinous or malt <br />liquors while on duty or in uniform. <br />3ule I09. No member of the Department shall be engaged directly or indirectly as <br />a vendor of spirituous, vinous or malt liquors. <br />~,ule 110.
