S, <br />(a) If the dedication of one part of the highway is permitted, said <br />one part shall be graded to the required grade and sidewalks laid upon one side <br />of the highways unless the other one part of the highway shall be acquired by <br />the Council by purchase or appropriation, in which event the street shall be im <br />proved by the City forthwith, to the extent provided in Sections 6 and 9 and the <br />cost thereof assessed against the benefitted property. <br />(b) If the entire highway is within the lines of the proposed allotment, <br />the highway shall be improved by the allotter, as specified in Sections 6 and 9 <br />and adequate provision made, prior to the acceptance of the dedication, for the <br />inclusion of the reserved strip as a part of the highway, whenever equitable re- <br />imbursement for land and improvements shall be made to the allotter upon a basis <br />fixed by the Council (Sec. 6, Ord. 62, Sept. 4, 1917)• <br />Section 9. All sidewalks shall be of sawed stone or concrete, and all <br />improvements installed by the allotter shall be in accordance with plans and <br />specifications approved by Council. (Sec. 9, Ord. 62, Sept. 4, 1917). <br />Section 10. If necessary, in the opinion of the Council, the dedications <br />may be accepted without the advance installation of the improvements specified <br />in Sections 6 and 8, and the allotter allowed a specified time within which to <br />makQ them, upon the filing by him of a bond insuring the completion of the im- <br />provementm within the time specified, and indemnifying the City against loss or <br />damage oy reason of the postponement. Such bond shall be in such form and amount <br />with such sureties, as the Council may approve. (Sec. 10, Ord. b2, Sept. k,1g17). <br />Section 11. All work herein required of the allotter, in the matter of <br />the improvement of highways, shall be done under the supervision of the City and <br />the coat of all necessary engineering and inspection so incurred, and any other <br />expense necessary to insure the proper performance of the work, shall be paid by <br />the allotter to the City, such payment to be secured in advance, by deposit or <br />otherwise, as the Council determine. (Sec. 11, Ord. 62, Sept. 4, 1917)• <br />ARTICLE N <br />USE DISTRICTS <br />Section 1.
