• 7. <br />and acceptance and dedica:tiot: of the aeq highways the fo~w,~ng ia~t~o'ztm <br />shall be required to be made by the allotter, to wit: <br />(a) The grade s}:a]1 be made td Conform to the grade established or <br />approved by the Council. <br />(b) Sidewalks of sawed stone or concrete shall be ].aid. <br />(c) All culverts and bridges necessary within the street lines of <br />the property; all box culverts necessary to carry surface drains; all requir~+d <br />„~ drainage or outlets; a3.Y crass walks; and all work necessary at the intsrsac-- <br />tion of existing streets, and with storm sewers in said streets of sufficient <br />size and depth to drain all cellar bottoms of buildings abutting on said <br />streets. (Sec. 6, Ord, 62, Sept, 4, 19170) <br />Section 7, Adequate sewer and water facilities shall also be installed <br />by the allotter where connections far such facilities are at the limits of <br />the property, Mess the Council shall deem it advisable to install such <br />facilities under special assessment proceedings instituted immediately upon <br />the acceptance of the dedication, (sec. 7, Ord. 62, Sept, 4, 1917). <br />Section 8. Where a highway is desirable along the boundary between <br />the proposed allots~nt and unallotted lands, and the owner of unallotted <br />lands fails to cooperate in opening and improving such highway, the Council <br />n:ay permit either of a rededication of one-half of such highway immediate],y <br />adjacent to the boundary lines, or of a dedication of the entire highws3- <br />xithin the lines of the proposed allotment with a reserved strip next ad3a- <br />cent to the unalotted lands and improvements shall be made by the allotter <br />in said highway as follows: <br />(a) If the dedication of one part of the highway is permitted, said <br />one part shall be graded to the required grade and sidewalks laid upon a <br />side of the, highways emless the other one part of the highway shall ~ +~- <br />quired bq the Council by purchase or appropriation, in which event the street <br />shall be improved by the City forthwith, to the extent provided in Sections <br />b and 9 and the cost thereof assessed against the benefitted property. <br />(b) If the entire highway is within the lines of the proposed a11ot-- <br />meet, the highway shall be improved by the allotter, as specified in Sections <br />6 and 9 and adequate provision made, prior to the acceptance of the dedica- <br />tion, for the inclusion of the reserved strip as a part of the highws, whew <br />ever equitab?.e reimbursement for land and improvements shall be atiade to the <br />allotter upon a basis fixed by the Co:uicil (Sec. 8, Ord. 62, Sept. 4, 1917). <br />Section 9ti Al"? si.d~.ra.lks sh?il be of sawed stone ar concretes atui all <br />improvements instalted by the allotter sb$11 ba in accordance with plane d <br />
