CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO.~ 64-~'~ Page 3 <br />In computing length of service i~r the purpose of making payments <br />of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given <br />for part-time services but such limitation is only for the purpose of <br />computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service <br />shall not deprive any employees of any other benefits which may be due them <br />for part-time service as employees in either Safety Department. <br />In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other <br />wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including <br />officers, shall, on their on anal a <br />g' ppointment and during the first calendar year <br />during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing allowance and shall, during <br />each calendar year thereafter, receiving a clothing allowance of $150.00 to <br />be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of <br />the Department. <br />For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding aux- <br />iliary police and school guards), the City of North Olmsted shall pay the sum of <br />$7.25per month toward the total cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization premiums of <br />said members of the Police Force . <br />Section 2: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 63-248 reading as <br />follows: <br />"Section 2: That effective November 1, 1963, the base salaries <br />of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be <br />as follows: <br />Fire Chief $ 7, 800.00 annually <br />Assistant Fire Chief 7, 400.00 annually <br />Fire Lieutenant 6, 900.00 annually <br />Firemen for First Year 5, 500.00 annually <br />Firement for Second Year 5, 900.00 annually <br />Firemen after Second Year 6, 500.00 annually <br />Part -time Firemen 1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five <br />years of full time continuous service as employees of said <br />department shall be paid an additional 2% of their base annual <br />salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous <br />full time service, after which such employees shall receive 3% of <br />their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the <br />15th year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 4~ of <br />their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th <br />year of continuous full time service and during each year of full <br />time service thereafter they shall receive 5% of their base annual <br />salary as longevity increments. <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall <br />be given for part-time service but such limitation is only for the <br />purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for <br />part-time service shall not deprive any employees of any other <br />benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees <br />of either Safety Department. <br /> <br />
