CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDIN~,NCE N0. 64_~' ~ Page 2 <br />Section 375.04 Obedience to Traffic Control Devices <br />(a) Any person operating a motorcycle shall obey the <br />instructions of official traffic-control signals, signs and <br />other control devices appli©e-b3:~-to vehicles, unless other- <br />wise directed by a police officer. <br />(b) V~henev®r authorized signs are er®oted that no right <br />or left or "U" turns are permitted, no person operating a <br />motorcycle shall disobey the direction of any such sign, <br />except where such person dismounts from the motorcycle to <br />make any such turn, in which event such person shall then <br />obey the regulations applicable to pedestrians. <br />Seotion 373.fl5 Riding on Streets, <br />~A):'1Rvery person operating a motorcycle upon a street shall <br />ride as near to the right aide of the street as is practicable, <br />exercising due Dare when passing a standing vshfiole or one <br />proceeding in the same direction. <br />(B) Persons riding motorcycles upon a street shall ride in <br />single file only and not abreast. <br />(C) ~Yien a motorcylle is operated on the street, the opera- <br />tor shall Hive hand signals before turning, changing lanes, <br />or stopping. Such signals shall conform with the Motor <br />Vehicle Laws of Ohio. <br />(D) Every rider of a motorcycle shall PXERCISE DUE CARP to <br />avoid colliding with any pedestrian or any vehicle upon any <br />roadway, or endangering the life, limb or property of any <br />person while in the le~wful use of the streets, sidewalks, <br />or any other private or public property. <br />Section 375.06 Riding on Motorcycles <br />(A) A person operating a motorcylce shall not ride other <br />than astride a permanent and regular seat attached thereto, <br />nor carry any other person upon such Motorcycle other than <br />upon a firmly attached and regular seat thereon, nor shall <br />any person ride upon a motorcycle other than upon such a <br />firmly attached and regular seat. <br />(B) No motorcycle shall be used to Derry more persons at <br />one time than the number for which it is designed and equipped. <br />(C) No person shall engage in trick riding or operate a <br />motorcycle without both hands upon the handle gripe except <br />when necessary to give the hand signals required herein, or <br />while carrying packages, bundles, or articles, at which time <br />at least one hand must be kept on the handle bars. <br />~ Section 375.07 Prudent Speed <br />No person shall operate a motorcycle at a speed treater than <br />is reasonable and proper under the conditions then existing <br />or a a speed greater than that permitted by the Traffic Code of <br />North Olmsted or the Statutes of Ohio. <br />Section 375.08 Carrying Articles <br />No person operating a motorcycle shall Derry any package, <br />bundle or article which prevents the rider from keeping at <br />least one hand upon the handle bars. <br />
