CITY OF NORTH OLMS~ED ORI.`IINANCE NO, 6S~-__[~_ Pt~ge 3 <br />(1) For tires three inched in width, a load of <br />four hundred fifty poclnds <br />(2} For tires three and onejhalf inches in width, a load <br />of four hundred fifty pC~ulnds; <br />(3} For tires four inches in width, a load of five <br />hundred pounds; <br />(4) For tires five inches in width, a load of six hundred <br />pounds; <br />(5) For tires six inches and over in width, a load of six <br />hundred fifty pounds . <br />The total width of tires on all wheels shall be, in case of <br />dolfd tires of rubber or other simile~r substance, the actual <br />width in inches of all such tires between the fittnges tat th+e <br />base of the tires, but in ryo event shall that portion of the fire <br />coming in contact with the road surface be less that two thirds <br />the width so measured between the flanges . <br />In case of pneumatic tires, of rubber or other similar sub- <br />stance, the total width of tired on all wheels shall be the <br />act~ial width of all such tires , measured at the widest pc~etion <br />thereof when inflated grid not bearing a load. <br />In no event shall the load includiryg the proportionate weight <br />of vehicle that can be concentrated on any wheel , e~tcm~d <br />six hundred fifty pounds to each inch in width of the tread tYs <br />defined in this section for solid tires, or each inch in the <br />actual diameter of j~neumatic tires measured when inflated and <br />not bearing a load . <br />Section 4 . There is hereby established Section 339.05 , Chtspter <br />339, Title Five entitled : MAXIMUM AXLE LOAD, WHEEL LOAD AND GROSa <br />WEIGHTS. <br />No vehicle, trackless trolled, load, object, or structure havtt~g <br />a maximum axle load greater than sixteen thousand pounds wheh <br />such vehicle is equipped with solid rubber tires, or greater than <br />nineteen thousand pounds when such vehicle is .equipped with <br />pneumatic tires, shall be operated or moved upon improved public <br />streets , bridges , or culvert8 within the I~unicip811tY. , Thy maxi- <br />mum wheel Ioad of any one wheel of any such vehicle shall n <br />exceed six hundred fifty pounds per inch width of tittit8, mess <br />as prescribed by Section 339.04 of the Codified Ordlnttnces of the <br />City of forth Olmsted, nor shall any solid tire of rubber or oche r <br />resilient material, on any wheel of any such vehicle, be l+sss than <br />ane inch thick when measured from the top of the flanges of the <br />tirP channel. <br />The weight of vehicle and load imposed urn the road surface <br />by any two successive axles, spaced four feet or less apart, <br />shall not exceed nineteen thousand pounds for solid tires, nor <br />twenty-four thousand pounds for pneumatic tires; or by any two <br />successive axles , spaced more than four feet but lass tht~n eight <br />feet apart, shall not exceed twenty-four thousand pounds for <br />solid tires , nor thirty--one thousand five hundred pounds for <br />pneumatic tires; or by any twv successive axles , spaced eight <br />feet or more apart, shall not exceed twenty-eight thousand pc,ur-ds <br />k- ..., ._ . ,.~s~ <br />
