CITY OF NORTH OLMSTLD ORIXNANCE NO. 65- Pam for solid tires , nor thirty-eight thousand pounds for pnausic tires;. nor than the total weight of vehicle and load exceed, for solid rubber tires, twenty-eight thousand' pounds plus an addi- tional six hundred pounds for each foot or fraction thereof of spacing between the fivnt axle and the rearmost axle of the vehicle , ,nor excsslei ,thirty-sight thousand pounds plus an addi- tional nine hung pounds for each foot of spacing betareen the front axle and the rearmost axle of the vehicle for pneumatic tires,; nar shall the weight of vehicle and load imposed upon the road surface by any vehicle exceed seventy-eight thousand pounds for pneumatic tires; nor shall such weight of vehicle and load exceed, for solid tires, eighty per cssR of the permissible weight of vehicle and load, as provided for pneumatic tires . Notwithstanding any other provision of law, when a vehicle is towing another vehicle, such drawbar or other connection shall be of a length such as will limit the spacing between nearest axles of the respective vehicles to a distance not in excess of twelve feet and six inches . Provided, further that in the event the provisions of this section should be held to exceed the weight limitations, or provisions set forth in subsection (~ of Section 108 Title 23, of the Federal-Aid Highway Aci of 195.6, this Sec- tion shall become null and void to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 5. That Section 339.06, (formerly 339.03) Chapter 339, Title Five of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Maximum Width, Height and Length, " and reading as follows: "No vehicle shall be operated upon the public streets, bridges and culverts within the Municipality, whose width is greater than ninety-six inches, including the load, except mar vehicles of the passenger bus type, operated exclusively within the Municipality, whose width shall not exceed one hundred four inches., and except traction engines whore width shall not exceed one hundred thirty-two inches. No vehicles unladen or with load of a greater height than thirteen feet six inches shall be operated on such streets , bridges and culvs , or of a gt^eater length than thirty-five feet, except the saNttrailsr of a coraaasrcial tractor and semitrailer cc~IMlnation which may have a length not to exceed forty feet, also except motor vehicles of the passenge bus type with three or more axles ~r-hose length shall not exc1 forty feet and except motor vehicles of the pas#en~t bus type, operated exclusively within the Municipality, whose length shall not exceed forty-eight feet. No commercial trac#or and semitrailer shall be operated in combination of a greater length then fifty feet, including load, and no other combination. of vehicles coupled together shall be so operated whose total length, includ#nq load, shall be greater than sixty feet. In special cases vehicles whose dimen- sions exceed those prescribed by this section may operate in accordance with rules and regulations promulgated by the Ohio Director of Highways . ' "This section does not apply to fire engines , fire trucks , or other vehicles or apparatus belonging to any municipal corporation or to the volunteer fire department of any municipal corporation or salvage company organized under the laws of this State or used by such department or company in the discharge of its functions . This section does not apply to vehicles and pole trailers used in the transportation of wooden and metal poles, nor to the trans- portation of pipes or well-drilling equipment, nor to farm machinery and equipment . " .
