Ordinance Noe Clerlc'of tae % ge of North An Ordinance To levy special assessments for the improvement of Dewey Road from Lorain Road to the Hortherly end thereof by ` grading, ` draining and slagging sane' Be it ordained by the Council of the'Village of Ijorth Olmsted , County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of improving Devroy Road from Lorain Road to the Northerly end thereof by radirg,.drtainirg ond`slsg�;ir�g earls in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor,° amounting in the ' aggregate a gg re ate to Four 1hous&nd For ty -Pais and 55f100 Dolla.rs.(.4,044.55) as reported-to this council on the 1 day of /jf2 by the Village Engineer, notice of the filing of which assessment has been given as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted and confirmed, and that there be and is hereby levied upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon said improvement, the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assessments, together with the description of said lots and lands, are now on file in the office of the Clerk of this Council, and which assess- ments are at the rate of $ 2o401 per foot front, and are not in excess of the special benefits to said property. Section 2. That the total assessment against each lot or parcel of land shall be payable in cash within thirty (30) days from and after the passage of.this ordinance, or, at the option of the owner, in .five annual install - ments with interest at the rate of 5 -1 2 er cent per annum. All cash pay - ments shall be made to the treasurer of said Village. All assessments and. i installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said thirty days .shall be certified by -the Clerk of this Council to the.County Auditor, as provided by laws to be by him placed on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are collected• j Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
