Ordinance No.— Z 7 oO <br />By Mr. <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />ESTABLISHING A POLICE RELIEF AND PENSION FUND AND PROVIDING FOR <br />THE APPOINTMENT OF A BOARD . OF TRUSTEES TO BE KNOWN AS THE <br />TKUSTEES.OF THE POLICE RELIEF AND PENSION FUND, ALL IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH THE STATUTES OF THE STATE OF OHIO IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF <br />THE. PASSAGE OF. THIS ORDINANCE, INCLUDING HOUSE BILL NO. 325 AS <br />PASSED ON THE SECOND DAY OF JUNE, 19490 <br />WHEREAS no effective ordinance has heretofore been <br />passed to establish a Police Relief and Pension Fund, and <br />WHEREAS this Council' desires to establish a Police <br />Relief and Pension Fund and provide for the appointment of <br />a Board of Trustees, all in accordance with the statutes of <br />the State of Ohio; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 10 It is hereby declared necessary to establish, <br />and there is hereby established;,a Police Relibf:nand Pension <br />Fund, all in accordance with the statutes cfj the State of Ohio <br />in effect governing police relief and pension funds, including <br />House Bill 325 as passed on the second day of June, 1949. <br />Section 2. A Board of Trustees shall be appointed to <br />be known as the Trustees of the Police Relief and Pension Fund; <br />said appointment shall be made in accordance with the statutes <br />Of the'State of Ohio governing the appointment of a Board of <br />Trustees for the Police Relief and Pension Fund. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, the emergency being that'it is necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of public health, peace, safety and <br />welfare and for the daily operation of a municipal department <br />Of the Village, that this ordinance be passed at once and shall <br />take effect and be in force from and after its passage. <br />Passed: September =, 1949. <br />i p <br />�� L <br />c <br />'0�,P,..� <br />Mayor <br />
