f' <br />ORDINANCE NO. 856 <br />BY: TAR. SCOTT <br />ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />PAYMENT OF A PORTION OF <br />METROPOLITAN EUIP_MENT . <br />WHEREAS, a Metropolitan police radio system is <br />in the process of being established in Cuyahoga County, and <br />1NHEREAS,.the City of Cleveland is willing to purchase <br />the necessary equipment for such radio system, and to service <br />without cost such equipment when installed, and <br />WHEREAS, each of the participating municipalities <br />shall pay to the City of Cleveland, Ohio their proportionate <br />share of the cost of such system. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />the VILLAGE OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />Section 1. That this village participate in the <br />purchase and use of a Metropolitan radio system in <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio and the clerk is hereby authorized <br />to deposit with the treasurer of Fairview Park, Ohio <br />the sum of Two Hundred and Forty Dollars ($240.00) <br />which amount is the proportionate share of this Village <br />and which shall be forwarded to the City of Cleveland <br />upon the establishment of said system. <br />Section 2. Said Two Hundred and Forty Dollars <br />($,240.00). shall be paid.. from the safety fund. <br />This is an emergency measure necessary for the public <br />health, peace and safety, and to' provide for proper and more <br />efficient police service. <br />
