Ordinance No. cl c<1 <br />By Mr .i - <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO LEVY SPECIAL ASSESSMINTS FOR THE IMPROVZJENT OF MARION ROAD, <br />FROM CLAGUE ROAD TO WEST 230th STREET, AND WEST 230th STREET, <br />PROM THE NORTH VILLAGE LINE TO CLIFFORD DRIVE, BY SURFACING SAME <br />WITH BITUMINOUS MACADAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense <br />of improving Marion Road, from Clague Road to West 230th Street, <br />and West 230th Street,,-from the North Village line to Clifford <br />Drive, by surfacing same with bituminous macadam, amounting in <br />the aggregate to $11,000.00, as repro ted to this Council by the <br />Village Engineer, notice of the filing of which ' assessment has <br />been given as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted <br />and confirmed, and that there be and is hereby levied and assessed <br />upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon said improve- <br />ment, the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assessments, <br />together with the description of said lots and lands are now on <br />file in the office of the Clerk of this Council, and which <br />assessments are at the rate of $2.3656 per front foot, and are <br />not in excess of the special benefits to said property, and are <br />not in excess of any statutory limitation. <br />Section 2. That the total assessment against each lot <br />or parcel of land shall be payable in cash within thirty days <br />from and after the passage of this ordinance, or, at the option <br />of the owner, in 'ter: annual Installments with interest at the <br />same rate as shall be borne* by the bonds to be issued'in anticipa- <br />tion of the collection of the same. All cash payments shall be <br />made to the Treasurer of said Village. All assessments and <br />installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said <br />thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to <br />the County Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him placed on <br />the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are collected. <br />Section 3.
