Resolution No. 1524 <br />By Mr. Crider <br />A RESOLUTION <br />FIXING THE COMPENSATION AND VACATION PERIODS OF THE REGULAR <br />AND EXTRA BUS DRIVERS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />' MUNICIPAL BUS LINE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of <br />North.Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That on and after the lst day of August, <br />19489 the compensation of the regular and extra bus drivers <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be $1.40 per <br />hour, payable semi - monthly. <br />Section 2. That on and after the lst day of August, <br />1948, any person employed as a bus driver, who has had no <br />•previous experience or not sufficient previous experience, <br />shall serve as an apprentice for a period of one year. During <br />the first three months of said apprentice period he shall <br />receive twenty cents per hour less than the hourly compensation <br />paid to the regular bus drivers; during the second three <br />months of said apprentice period he-shall receive fifteen <br />cents per hour less than the hourly compensation paid to the <br />regular bus drivers; during the next three months of said <br />apprentice period he shall receive ten cents per hour less <br />than the hourly compensation paid to the regular bus drivers; <br />- and during the last three montlis of said apprentice period <br />he shall receive five cents per hour less than,the hourly <br />compensation paid to regular bus drivers. <br />Section 3. On and after January 1, -1949, bus drivers <br />shall receive the following vacation periods :' After the first <br />year of` service, one weeks vacation with pay; after two years . <br />of service, two weeks' vacation each year with pay. <br />Provided, however, that the vacation periods of said <br />bus drivers during the year 1948 shall remain the same as <br />set forth in Resolution No. 1467 passed by the Council of the <br />Village of North Olmsted on April 1, 1947, but beginning. <br />January 1, 1949, the vacation periods shall be as herein set <br />forth. <br />Section 4. This resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure, the emergency.being that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of public health, <br />peace, safety and welfare, and for the daily operation of <br />a municipal department of the Village, that this resolution <br />be passed at once and take effect and be in force from and <br />after its., Passage. <br />Passed% July 3 1948. <br />Ng <br />
