Resolution No. 148$ <br />By Mr. <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING THE AMOUNT OF TAXES . THAT MAY ' BE RAISED BY LEVY <br />AT THE MAXIWM ,. RATE . AUTHORIZED . BY. LAW WITHOUT A . VOTE OF <br />THE.ELECTORS TO BE INSUFFICIENT.AND.DECLARING THE NECESSITY <br />OF A LEVY IN EXCESS..OF SUCH.RATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />Village of North Olmsted, State of Ohio, two - thirds of all <br />members elected.thereto concurring: <br />Section 1. That the amount of taxes that <br />may be raised by the levy of taxes at the maximum rate <br />authorized by Section 5625 -2 of the General Code on the <br />taxable property in the Village of.North Olmsted will be <br />insufficient to provide . adequate amount for the necessary <br />requirements of said.Village and that it is necessary for <br />the purpose of providing.. additional. funds for recreational <br />purposes that taxes be levied on the taxable property in <br />said Village for the period of three years at a rate in <br />excess of such maximum rate authorized by Section 5625 -2 <br />of the General Code, <br />Section 2. That it is necessary to levy <br />taxes for the years 1947, 1948 and 1949 at the rate for <br />each year of two- tenths of a_mill: on each dollar' of the <br />tax valuation, which amounts to two cents (2¢) for each one hun- <br />dred dollars ($100.00) of valuation, of the taxable property <br />within the Village of-North Olmsted in excess of the rate <br />authorized by said Section 5625 -2 of the General Code, <br />Section 3. That the Clem be and he is <br />hereby directed to - certify a copy of this resolution to the <br />Deputy State Supervisors and Inspectors of Elections of <br />Cuyahoga County Ohio, in order that said-Supervisors-and <br />Inspectors of Eiections may make the .necessary arrangements <br />for the submission of such.question to the electors of said <br />Village of North Olmsted, . as provided by law. <br />Section 4.
