RESOLUTION N0. By <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR . AND CLERK TO ENTER INTO A ` CONTRACT WITH THE <br />COY1,, UNITY HOSPITAL OF BEREA, OHIO, IN ACCORDANCE V ITH THE GENER4L <br />CODE OF THE STATE OF OHIO. <br />7MEREAS, The Community Hospital of Berea, Ohio, has <br />tendered to the Village, of North Olmsted the following agreement, <br />being a renewal of the agreement now in effect., between this <br />Village and said Hospital, to wit: <br />This agreement made and entered into this /�"' <br />day of ?unit7 1947, by and ' between . t e Village or ms ed as the First Party and <br />The Co:J Hospital of Berea as the Second <br />Party. <br />r <br />WITNESSETH: <br />_ <br />Whereas, under the provisions of Sections 3411-1 <br />et seq. and Sections 4021, 4022 and 4022 -1 of_the <br />General Code of Ohio, Township Trustees and I- Junicipal <br />Councils are authorized to enter into a contract with <br />a corporation not for profit, organized for charitable <br />purposes for the erection, management, maintenance <br />and use of a hospital suitably located for the treatmen - <br />of the sick and disabled of such township or <br />municipality upon,such terms as may be agreed upon, and <br />114hereas, The Community Hospital of Berea, the <br />Second Party, is a hospital conducted by -a corporation <br />not for profit, and organized for charitable purposes <br />and such hospital is now being operated in the City <br />of Berea suitably and conveniently located for the use <br />and convenience of the inhabitants of,.the Village of No th <br />Olmsted and of.the political subdivisions hereinafter <br />mentioned. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Second Party agrees (a) that said <br />hospital together with its equipment and all improve- <br />- <br />ments or additions thereto shall during the tax years <br />hereinafter mentioned be at the service of, and to the, <br />extent of its facilities provide treatment to, the <br />sick and disabled inhabitants of the Village of Nor.tY: <br />Olmsted, such treatment to be free to tho inhabitants c <br />the Village of North Olmsted except to those who in the <br />11 judgment of the Hospital Trustees- or- their, authorilaed <br />agent may be.able to pay therefor; (b) that the First <br />Party shall be entitled to select at least one member <br />of the Board of Trustees of the Hospital to serve <br />during said term of years and -that the..remaining, member <br />of its Board shall be selected according to_the pro - <br />visions of its constitution and /or its by -laws either <br />now in effect or hereafter lawfully enacted. <br />IN CONSIDERATION 'ME'REOF: The First Party agrees, <br />subject to the approval licrecf by a majority vote of <br />its electors-voting thereon and subject to the`ccondi- <br />tions hereinafter set forth, that it will cause a levy <br />to be made upon all taxable property within the <br />
