-2— <br />II <br />15-I BERSHIP OF THE C0114SS10N <br />The'Regional Planning Commission shall consist of the following members; <br />The three County Commissioners and the County Engineer of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, each of whom shall serve during his tenure of office. <br />One member of the City Planning Commission of each municipal corporation <br />cooperating in the creation or maintenance of the Regional Planning Commission, <br />which member shall be designated by his own City Planning Commission and shall <br />serve for such period during his tenure as member of such City Planning Commis. <br />sion as it may designate. Such members are hereinafter referred to as "municipal <br />members". <br />An "alternate municipal memberli shall be designated by the City Planning <br />Commission from among its membership. Such selection and designation shall be <br />made at the time the "municipal member" is designated and the Regional Planning <br />Commission shall be informed in writing of both selections. The "alternate <br />municipal memberli shall represent this City Planning Commission in the event <br />that the "municipal member" is absent from any meeting of the Regional Planning <br />Commission or of any of its committees. In case of such absence the "alternate <br />municipal member" shall have the rights and privileges of the "municipal member". <br />live citizens of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, designated by the Board of <br />County Commissioners for a term of five years each commencing on January 1, <br />except that the term of the first five citizens first designated shall commence <br />at the time of their designation and expire on December 31 in the years 1947, <br />1948, 19492 1950 and 1951 respectively. Such members are hereinafter referred <br />to as "citizen members". <br />Any vacancy occurring among the municipal or citizen members shall be <br />filled for the unexpired term by the authority which designated the member to ` <br />be replaced. <br />t - <br />j III <br />PUNERS AND DU1.11,S OF T::E C0141,iISSION <br />The Regional Planning Commission shall have the power and duty to make <br />Plans and maps of the Region showing the Commission's recommendations for sys- <br />tems of transportation, highways, park and recreational facilities, water supply, <br />sewerage and sewage disposal, garbage disposal, civic centers and other public <br />improvements which affect the development of the Region as a whole, or more than <br />f <br />one political subdivision within the hegion, and which do not begin and terminate <br />within the boundaries of any single municipality. <br />Said plans or maps may be changed, supplemented, or abolished from time <br />to time at the discretion of the Commission, but no plans or maps shall be adopt- <br />ed, changed, supplemented or abolished without a public hearing thereon. <br />Said Commission, or special committees thereof appointed for the purpose, <br />shall advise the Board of County Commissioners with respect to the location of . <br />buildings or other facilities to be acquired or constructed by, for or under the <br />direction of the Board of County Commissioners. <br />
