<br />Ms. Neubauer reported that due to construction on V,festwood Ave,
<br />our buses were using Clifford Drive, which is full of chuck
<br />holes.
<br />The Safety Directar stated he wou].d contact Fairview Park:
<br />officials and see if repairs could be made to the""road.
<br />Tllr. Crider reported that the Streets Committee had studied the
<br />matter of the 0uter Be1t Highway, and recommended that we pass
<br />a Resolutiono A1so that the Mayor wr3.te Mayor Coyne of our
<br />willingness to help them secure this improvement, providirg
<br />that It2ayor Coyne indicate his willingness to go along with
<br />us when we need help.
<br />P,esolution No, 2480 was 3ntroduced by Mr. Crider. A Resolution
<br />dedicated:to Action, Recognizing the Impact and Seriousneas
<br />of the traffic'problem°on Brookpark Road in the southwest
<br />section'of Cuyahoga County and Endorsing the Outer Belt South,
<br />and requesting the Qhio State Highway Department to take necessary
<br />steps toward its development. It was moved and seconded that
<br />the statutary rule be suspended and the RESOlution be read -
<br />iramediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Crider,
<br />Decker, Kramer, TYZacDonald, Neubauer, Schwenk. Thereupon the
<br />Resolution ivas read the second and th3.rd times and put upon
<br />its'pagsa;e and:the affirmative vote thereon was as fallotivs:

<br />on each side of Rosita Lane, needed ri113ng in. The matter ;
<br />was referred to the Safety-Service Director to contact the ?developer or see if we have to do it. !

<br />the Bapt3.st Church be'granted permission to erect a tent 3.n the
<br />Park for one week; not to'exceed=the seating of:two:hundred.:, The location to be decided by Council-°and that the City shall

<br />and'would rscommend it be chan.ded from 8 to 5 and,6. It would
<br />reduce insurance cost on residences 15,% and on business ;alaces 9%1 There is no?City water on Canterbury Road south of
<br />Butternut, and we ahould have twenty-three firemen an.d if the
<br />bill pending in the legislature reduces firemens hours to
<br />: 56 hours. a week it would require the n addition af : one third
<br />more firemen.- He also suggested that we.obta?n a;site>For a
<br />fire station in the,3rook Park;- Lorain Road area, eibht to
<br />ten years in the future, ; at which tir.leA:` we will also need. an
<br />additional piece of fire fighting apparatus.
<br />The : Mayor stated that the Kiwanis Club want to fly a 14, by ,22
<br />sign on 1,7ay 26, ' 1957. _

<br />the:Kiwanis Club be permitted to fly the above mentioned silan. _
